The thriving art community in Birmingham is anchored

in the area's city center. There are nearly 175 public

sculptures, murals and other art in the city center alone.

The area's most prominent piece stands atop Red

Mountain. Giuseppe Moretti created Vulcan as the city's

representative to the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis.

Moretti's credits include two other pieces in the

city center. Look for them at UAB and in Linn Park.
